New Adjustment

After teaching for the past 5 1/2 years (2.5 at MN New Country and 3 at EdVisions Off Campus), my body is telling me it is time to go back to working with students. I am playing a trick on myself, as I will not be teaching this fall for the first time since graduating with my undergrad degree. Since mid June, I have been working at my new gig, EdVisions Schools.

Thus far, I have to admit that I am enjoying working in an office environment. Working from home the past 3 years has been a bit rough on this extrovert. I get energy from being around people. While I still have a lot to learn, my new job has been satisfying and a learning experience. A change in routine has been good for me.

Lastly, we made a huge change in Cain's education. After a lackluster, uninspired 7th grade year at the suburban, factory style junior high, he is now going to MN New Country. I have to say that I wore him down over time to at least give it a try. Being that he is an 8th grader, it is a good year for him to try this "different" way of learning. After working in project based, teacher led schools, I have to say that I am more excited than him. I will keep you updated, but so far, he is liking this new way of approaching learning.
